While the most effective option would be to use any surplus IFS water for irrigation, the utilization of IFS water for potable use may eventually be a consideration for some projects.
Certain additional measures would need to be employed.
At this stage bio and sand filters can be used to further purify the water. This would include the utilization of water hyacinth to remove any remaining impurities from the water from the pond.
