Worm Enzymes and Vermi-Composting
Gunter Pauli notes that with regards to worm enzymes and
vermicomposting, worms have a broad ph range of active enzymes. Through
isoelectric focusing (separating the enzymes) one has a tremendous increase in
efficiency. Prior to giving the waste to the worms, one can produce plastics
from the waste starch that is left over (5% in organic Waste). Then left over
for the worms, and extract the enzymes from the worms. This is a concrete example
of how great efforts are moving towards Upsizing, generating more value, more
jobs, and how we can outcompete the Tyson, ADM and Cargills of the world.
